Broomfield Colorado is located near the intersection of US 36 and State Highway 287, only a few miles from North of Denver and East of Boulder. It began as an agricultural community. Tenant farmers worked half the land in dry crops and half in irrigated farming. Adolph Zang brought in a railroad spur in 1885. Present day Broomfield combines the advantages of small town living with the conveniences of a large city. Broomfield finally became its own county in 2001 and is a master planned community.
